Meet Our Team
One of Dr. Scott's greatest assets is his staff. They are extremely professional, friendly, and highly trained. Combined, they have over 132 years of experience in this office. They strive to be courteous, efficient, and service oriented as their goal is to provide excellent patient service and treatment. They attend continuing education courses routinely, and are extremely up-to-date on state of the art orthodontic procedures.
Audrey has worked for Dr. Scott as a chairside assistant for over 3 years. Her total experience, however, in the field of orthodontics extends over 8 years. She is one of only a few certified D.A.N.B. (Dental Assistant's National Board) orthodontic assistants in Colorado. Audrey is an outstanding clinical assistant and takes pride in her technical work as well as her communication skills with patients. Audrey has a son whom she spends most of her time with. She loves to exercise, enjoys the beautiful Colorado outdoors, and is very involved with her son's activities.
Before coming to work for Dr. Scott,
Chrissy was in the medical field for 8 years, having been trained at Pueblo Community College in the surgical technologist program. Prior to that, she was in the United States Marine Corps. Chrissy has 4 children, all boys, and enjoys spending time with her sons and husband. She is extremely talented and loves her interactions with our patients.
Christi is one of our very talented clinical assistants. She worked in the general dental field for over 6 years and has been in orthodontics for over 4 years. Christi is married and has 2 children. She loves spending quality time with her family. She was a Cub Scout leader for 5 years and helps out with the Girl Scouts when she can. She is an active volunteer at her children’s schools and loves to camp and ride 4 wheelers.
Debby D. is a very experienced chair side assistant who enjoys visiting with and getting to know our patients and their family. She has worked for Dr. Scott for over 20 years. In addition to her chair side duties, she is responsible for taking orthodontic records (x-rays, pictures, and study models) prior to patients starting into treatment. Debby has 2 adult children, a step-son, and a grandson. She enjoys sewing, embroidery, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles with her husband as well as walking, skiing, camping and spending time with her family.
Debby C. is our expert appointment coordinator. She has 11 years of experience working for Dr. Scott. She is responsible for directing patient flow and generally keeping the appointments running smoothly, which is a huge responsibility. In Debby's words, "I love seeing how happy and pleased patients are when they get their braces off. It's fun comparing before and after pictures with parents and patients." Debby is married and has 2 grown children. Her hobbies are quilting, reading, traveling, and watching her 2 granddaughters.
Jodene is the very proficient treatment and staff coordinator for Dr. Scott. As the treatment coordinator, she assists Dr. Scott at initial exams and consultations as well as setting up financial arrangemenst for our patients. She has functioned as a laboratory technician, clinical assistant and operatory supervisor. She has worked for Dr. Scott for over 19 years and enjoys all aspects of the orthodontic treatment process, especially communications with parents and patients. She feels as though it is rewarding to watch patients self esteem increase with their treatment. Over the years her position has been very gratifying and she especially likes to see past patients bring their children to our office with pride and confidence in Dr. Scott and his terrific team. Jodene is happily married with 2 married children and 2 grandchildren, whom she loves to spend time with. She enjoys reading, sewing, sports and spending time with her family
Joyce is our financial and insurance coordinator. Joyce has experience in the aspect of orthodontic administration for over 20 years. She is well versed in the field of orthodontic insurance benefits and can be relied on by all of our patients' parents to provide reliable and timely information concerning their accounts and insurance benefits. Joyce is Dr. Scott's wife, and although rarely seen or heard from, is in the background making sure that our patients insurance interests are well taken care of. Joyce and Dr. Scott have 2 children and 2 grandchildren which they love to spend time with. In addition, Joyce is an avid gardener and enjoys reading and decorating.
Karen is our very competent laboratory technician. Although seldom seen by most of our patients, she is an extremely important member of our team. Karen works behind the scenes creating special appliances such as retainers. Karen also has skills as a clinical chair side assistant, although she rarely has time to use them. One of Karen's strengths is the difficult task of adjusting and maintaining splints for temporomandibular joint therapy. Karen is also an expert in diagnostic technology and has worked with Dr. Scott for 25 years. Karen is the mother of 3 grown boys and the grandmother of 2. Her hobbies are quilting, spending time with her family and scrapbooking.
Kristin is a very valuable member of our team. She not only functions as a chair side assistant, but can also function as a lab technician. In addition, she has typing and transcription skills, and is familiar with the communication aspect of the office. Her goal is to make every patient feel completely comfortable and well cared for. Kristin has worked for Dr. Scott for approximately 6 years. She also has an additional 7 ½ years experience in the dental and orthodontic field. Kristin enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their 2 children.
Marcia is the very busy and outstanding communication coordinator for Dr. Scott. For the first five years with our office, she was the appointment coordinator. In addition, she also functions as a treatment coordinator when needed. Marcia has worked for Dr. Scott for 25 years. Years ago Dr. Scott joked that Marcia would end her career in his office. Marcia would disagree then, but it seems as though that will be the outcome! She feels as though one of the most fulfilling aspects of her job is the very rewarding part of seeing patients go through treatment and end up with their beautiful smiles. Marcia and her husband have 2 teenage daughters which keep her very busy with school and sports activities.
Mari is a very skilled chair side assistant having worked for Dr. Scott for 17 years. She enjoys getting to know patients during their treatment time. In addition to Mari’s chair side responsibilities, she also helps with lab work and designs posters for patient promotions. Mari is also in charge of preparing transfer records when people move from Pueblo and out of our office. Mari and her husband have been married for 30 years and have a married daughter. Mari is an avid quilter and is very active as an instructer in local quilt guild.
Tammy has been an orthodontic assistant for eight years. She graduated from Pueblo Community College's dental assisting program, and immediately began working for Dr. Scott. Tammy handles most of our Invisalign cases, but is equally as experienced in our lab and chair-side assisting. She takes pride in instructing elderly women in water aerobics at the YMCA. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys riding motorcycles, camping and spending time with her family.
